Dr. Allen Levy

 

 

Dr. Allen Levy is a certified psychoanalyst having graduated from the Philadelphia School of Psychoanalysis, Union Graduate School and Columbia University School of Social Work.  Dr. Levy has served as a senior staff member of Temenos Institute in Westport, CT. He has also served as an adjunct faculty member for Union Graduate School, and as a faculty member for The Center for Group Studies in New York City.

Dr. Levy is also a certified group psychotherapist with the American Group Psychotherapy Association (AGPA) and practicing transpersonal modern psychoanalyst. He specializes in the treatment of mental and emotional disorders of all forms, working with individuals, couples, families, and groups. His office is in Westport, Connecticut.

As well, Dr. Levy is internationally known for his work over the past 40 years in stress reduction, deep relaxation, and meditation. Since 1971, he has studied with spiritual teachers both in America and India. Dr. Levy is also an ordained interfaith minister through the All Faiths Seminary International in New York. He has taught yoga and meditation at Columbia University, St. John the Divine Church, Broadway Presbyterian Church, and Union Theological Seminary in New York City, as well as throughout the United States, Europe, and India.
